Harm reduction
The stance this community takes, and the limits of what it can offer you.
This platform is not an authority on what is safe, and it says so. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription or a substitute for a doctor.
This is not medical advice
Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription or a substitute for a doctor.
- Sayroids is not a medical service, is not staffed by clinicians acting in a clinical capacity, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- Member content is personal experience and opinion. It has not been verified, and what was true for one person may be dangerous for you.
- Tools and calculators provided on the Service are educational illustrations of published parameters. They do not model your body and they must not be used to decide a dose.
Why we host this discussion anyway
People are going to do this. Silence makes it more dangerous, not less.
- Refusing to discuss a practice does not stop it. It moves the conversation somewhere with worse information and no moderation.
- Our position is that an adult who has already decided is safer knowing what raises risk, what lowers it, and what warrants stopping.
- This is a reason to host honest discussion. It is not encouragement, and nothing here should be read as suggesting you should use anything at all.
How to discuss risk well
Say what you know, how you know it, and what you do not know.
- Distinguish what you experienced from what you read from what you assume.
- Give context that makes a claim interpretable: what else was involved, over what period, with what baseline.
- Say when you are uncertain. Confidence is not evidence, and the most dangerous posts here are the most confident ones.
- Cite a source where one exists, and say when one does not. Where our tools show a parameter as unavailable, that is because no sourced value exists, not because the number is unimportant.
- Encourage bloodwork, and encourage seeing a doctor. Someone who will not see a doctor is still better off being told they should.
When someone is at risk
Say something. Then get them to someone who can help.
- If a post describes symptoms that could indicate an emergency, say so plainly and tell them to seek immediate medical care.
- Do not attempt to manage an acute medical situation over a forum.
- If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. This Service cannot help in an emergency and does not monitor for them in real time.
- Report posts that suggest a risk to life using the in-product reporting tools so that a moderator sees them quickly.
Where this is enforced
A stance that only appears on this page is a slogan. These are the places in the product that refuse rather than approximate.
Compound plotterRefuses to save a parameter without a source behind it. Where it shows a value as unavailable, none has been published. It is not withholding a number it has.Brand directoryVerification confirms who a brand is, never that its products are good. Certificates are on file or absent, with no verified tier, because nothing here has been tested.Cycle logsMember journals, reviewed before they appear, showing what was run and what the author recorded alongside it, including whether there is bloodwork behind it.
